Daniel Radcliffe Sporting Devil Horns In First Horns Photo Somehow Less Upsetting Than His Wardrobe

And you thought Daniel Radcliffe getting erotic with horses was off-putting! Ew, actually it was. Why is Equus such a popular play? It makes The Woman In Black and that weird Guillermo Del Toro Pinocchio movie seem downright sunny! Continue his journey to the dark side, Entertainment Weekly dropped the first photo of a devilish looking DRad from Horns, a horror movie in which he plays Ignatius Perrish, a man consumed by the murder of his lady friend Merrin Williams…until one day wakes up with horns growing from his skull and the power to manipulate people. Then he’s probably really consumed by that murder. We’ll admit that detail of the horns sprouting from Daniel’s skull is disturbing, but somehow not as disturbing as his ensemble. The chest hair? The sweatshirt? The jacket? Did Ignatius wake up wearing that shiny leather bomber the same day he got the horns, or did he actually go to the mall and buy it at Nordstrom? Either option makes us wake up screaming in a cold sweat, and we’re not even asleep.

Based on the little we know about the movie, we’re betting Radcliffe nails it. Everyone know he’s at his best when he’s tangling with the supernatural side of things. Though maybe Daniel doesn’t realize that yet? “It’s a very, very different type of part than anything I’ve done before,” Radcliffe tells EW. Really? But he’s already tangled with a ghost, battled a wizard and gotten into some horrible business in a barn! Isn’t this exactly like the parts he’s done before? Oh, you know what? Daniel must be talking about that jacket, too. Our bad!

Brand New Breaking Dawn 2 Preview Released! More Renesmee And Volturi Talk!

We’re trying desperately not to sound too disjointed here, but we’ve been running around the room squeeing so bear with us. The last The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 trailer we saw was back in March, where we got a glimpse of vampire Bella. Then we got some ho-hum stills of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in character, which got us excited because, well, it’s Twilight. There will always be excitement even if the material isn’t groundbreaking. What really got us revved up was the EW cover featuring the family Vamp – Bella, Edward and our first real look at Renesmee.

Now, there’s a second teaser trailer out tomorrow, because it’s Edward’s 111th birthday. Summit kinda knew we couldn’t wait to see it, so what they’ve done is released a 10 second preview today, which is what you’re watching in the video above. And they’ve packed enough in this snippet to get us totally juiced! It starts with Bella and Edward tenderly holding Renesmee and handing her over to Rosalie. Edward then voices, “The Volturi think that Renesmee’s an immortal child.” Vampire Bella responds with, “She was born not bitten! She grows every single day.” Cut to a dramatic shot of Alice dropping a glass vase and gasping, “The Volturi! They’re coming for us.” The clip ends with the Volturi stalking towards Bella and Edward against a snowy backdrop, Aro menacingly flipping back his dark hood. Ai yi yi! We’re in quite a state. You will be too, once you watch it. We can’t wait to see the full trailer tomorrow.

New Stills From The Host Have Us Psyched For Its Dystopian Alien Love Triangle

The Host Still

Man, everyone’s been loving a futuristic dystopian love triangle lately! You got your Katniss, Peeta and Gale in Hunger Games. We guess Bella, Edward and Jacob don’t technically live in a dystopia (or the future), but they are supernatural monsters, and we think that should count. New stills from The Host, based on Stephenie Meyer‘s other novel, definitely have us geared up for a messy Melanie/Jared/Ian romance already. In one of the images, Saoirse Ronan and Jake Abel get their dewy looks on in in front of a terrestrial desertscape; you can check the other one at Entertainment Weekly.

When asked by EW about the novel’s central “love quadrangle, Abel tried to break it down for us: “Yeah, a love box [laughing], between my feelings for Wanda, the alien inside the body, and Jared’s feelings for Melanie, the human who he’s known, whom Ian has never known. Ian has only known this alien.” Yes please! About author Meyer, Jake gushed, “The thing about Stephenie is that she’s highly collaborative. If you have ideas — and we had ideas about the sequels [to the book] — she was like, ‘Tell me! Tell me!’ There were a couple of times I was like, ‘How ’bout this?’ And she was like, ‘Well, I’ll think about it.’ And that’s always so relieving as an actor, because we all want to bring something to the table, and we all understand that the film we’re making is the writer’s baby. There’s parts of you that want to honor their vision.” A vision of steamy pseudo-alien/human romance, that is! Get yourself similarly pumped up with the Host stills that have dropped so far, as well as the trailer:
