5 Reasons The Carrie Remake Is Starting To Sound Scary Good

Chloe Moretz Stars In Carrie RemakeWe’ve already started to fangirl out about the upcoming Carrie remake staring Chloe Moretz. With all these new details emerging about the movie…might as well go all the way, right? Squee! “I start that June 1st,” Moretz told ComingSoon about shooting the film. “…It’s going to be very well done. I don’t want to jinx it…” Hey, as long as there are gallons of pig’s blood involved, consider our tickets Fandango’ed! If you guys aren’t quite so convinced yet, here are five reasons we’re pretty sure the new Carrie will be crowned queen:

1) Julianne Moore is in talks to be cast as Carrie’s spooky mom Margaret White: Can you imagine another actress who’d be better at shouting about dirty pillows? Neither can we.

2) It takes place today: “It’s set in modern times, so it’s a lot different,”Chloe told ComingSoon.” We wouldn’t be surprised if that means they’ll be focusing more on the bullying aspect of the novel…

3) It’s going to have that Black Swan steez: “It’s darker and much more psychological. More Black Swan,” Moretz explained. “You’re really looking into her mind and it really looks into the relationship of Margaret and Carrie.” Yup, the mother-daughter relationships are pretty similar between the two films. And pretty gross.

4) The director of the original Carrie Brian De Palma is besties with the director of the remake Kimberly Pierce. “De Palma’s movie is absolutely amazing,” Chloe told MTV at CinemaCon. “Kim is actually really good friends with De Palma, and they’re talking about the movie and they’re good friends, so we’re taking a lot of his notes.”

5) Chloe is going to make Carrie’s prom dress…herself…out of curtains: “One of my ideas for the character was to actually go and make my own dress, and I’m actually using my friend’s old drapes and making my own dress,” Moretz revealed to MTV. “And I’m going to sew it and everything, and I’m actually going to go out and wear it for a few weeks.” Wow, we are terrified at how excited we are for this movie. Just terrified.

Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker Battle Over Who Has The Better Butt

In an excerpt from tonight’s MTV First interview with Battleship stars Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgard, the actors are asked perhaps the most important question of their careers: Is it frustrating not to be the only dazzlingly beautiful person in the room? The answer, predictably, is hilarious. Also, it reminded us of how truly funny Rihanna can be. (Of course, I had to watch this clip twice to gather that much, because the first time I was just daydreaming about raising athletic blond and brunette children on a secluded island getaway with my two new husbands …)

“Sorry, can you repeat that question? I got lost in these eyes,” Skarsgard joked, echoing my own thoughts as he held up a photo of himself.

“It’s very frustrating, actually. It’s probably the most frustrating part of doing movies,” Rihanna chimed in. Nodding to Decker, she added, “I envy her boobs.”

“I envy this ass, are you kidding me?” the model-actress retorted.

“What ass?” Rihanna responded. “Your ass is bigger than mine!”

“We could trade for a day. Want to?” Brooklyn asked, thus maintaining world peace. Here, in case you needed reminding to settle this debate for yourself, is a better look at both ladies from behind.

Kim Kardashian Wants Her Own Sitcom, We Pitch Her Some Remake Ideas

Kim Kardashian Sitcom Suggestions

Kim Kardashian’s reality show already seems scripted all to hell. In fact, her whole life seems like it’s completely plotted by evil mastermind Kris Jenner. So it’s probably no surprise that Kim’s rarin’ to move on to the real thing; a sitcom! Sources close to the celebrity say that she’s in talks to develop her own half hour series. “Kim wants to move beyond reality TV and become a comedy actress,” a friend told Page Six. “She really wants to be the next Sofia Vergara.”

This comes on the heals of her recent guest spot on 30 Rock, as well as the scenes she shot for Tyler Perry’s upcoming movie, The Wedding Counselor. Now that she has a taste for comedy, it seems like Kim wants more! While the odd cameo is fine every now and again, does she have the comedy chops to head up a full original series? We’re not so sure. So to help her out, we’ve put together a list of remakes that Kim could star in, without straying too far from her own reality. Check ‘em out in the gallery below!
